BLogging, Next Steps

Google Group for Blogging Support: http://groups-beta.google.com/group/mwbloggers

  1. Go to http://www.blogger.com. Log in with your gmail account, if you have one, or set on up.
  2. Come up with a title for your blog, such as [LIBRARY NAME] Blog. This title appears at the top of the webpage, and in the top blue bar at the top of the browser.
  3. Fill in the URL. You get to pick the letters/numbers that go between the "http://" and "blogpost.com"
  4. Verify you are a human completing this form by following the "Word Verification" directions - just fill in the letters you see on your screen in the field.
  5. Click “Continue.”
  6. Choose a template by clicking "Use This Template" underneath the sample screen that you like the looks of. Don’t worry, you can always change it later!
  7. Click "New Post"
  8. Try creating two or three posts. Make them all look different! Change the font style, color, size… center, number, add bullets… experiment!
  9. Then, click “Edit Posts,” and change them.

  1. Set up a FREE Account with Gabcast at http://www.gabcast.com
  2. Create a channel and connect your Blogger Beta account (note: you'll have to log into gmail to approve the connection!)
  3. Call 1-800-749-0632
  4. Enter your channel number and press #
  5. Enter your password and press #
  6. Press 1 to post
  7. Record your post
  8. Press # when finished
  9. Log into Blogger and approve your audio post!
